Testing health hypotheses instead of guessing at them
PITCHING AT THE NEW YORK NIGHT ON 2 SEPTEMBER 2026
Wellness hands people protocols and expects them to run the experiment alone, which is why adherence collapses and nobody learns anything. Intero collects reported outcomes and biometrics over time, generates candidate explanations, then systematically tests each one until a hypothesis survives.
The wellness industry ships protocols the way an engineering team would ship source code with no way to deploy it. A person is handed a regimen, told to follow it, and left to work out on their own whether it did anything, against a body that changes for a dozen unrelated reasons. Adherence is the visible failure. The invisible one is that no information is produced.
Intero treats a health complaint as a set of competing hypotheses to be eliminated. Symptoms are gathered by voice, synced against labs and wearables, and used to rank candidate conditions, which are then tested in turn rather than guessed between. Sleep is the worked example: apnea, upper airway resistance and central apnea look similar from the outside and separate cleanly once you collect the right signal over enough days.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
