One workspace for teaching computing, safely
PITCHED AT THE LONDON NIGHT ON 18 AUGUST 2026
Schools have to teach computing now and will have to teach with AI shortly, and the tools available were built for professional developers or for nobody in particular. Kita is a single teacher-controlled environment for both.
Computing teaching has an unusual constraint: the environment has to be powerful enough to be real and safe enough for a classroom, and those two requirements pull hard against each other.
Kita is building for the teacher as the administrator rather than the IT department, which matters more as AI enters lessons. The pilots are the right shape of early evidence here, because schools do not adopt anything quickly and 20 of them saying yes is a slow, real signal.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
