A smart safe that shows who opened it
PITCHING AT THE MIAMI NIGHT ON 5 NOVEMBER 2026
Almost every safe sold today is a metal box with a lock: it cannot tell you who opened it, when, or that someone is trying to. The Space Safe adds cameras, a touchscreen, a fingerprint reader and an app, so the owner sees every opening and is alerted the moment the safe is moved or tampered with.
Valuables at home are protected by the same design they had decades ago. An alarm system may catch a break-in, but it cannot say whether the safe itself was opened, and a shared PIN means nobody knows which person used it. For hosts, families and small offices, that leaves the most important box in the building with no record at all.
SPACE puts a camera inside and outside the safe, logs every access by user, and lets up to four people open it with their own PIN and fingerprint. An accelerometer and tamper sensors push an alert the moment the safe is disturbed, and a one-time code lets a guest or house-sitter in for five minutes without sharing a permanent PIN. The founder describes it simply as Ring, but for safes.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
