Turning a crowded room into five right conversations
PITCHED AT THE MIAMI NIGHT ON 12 AUGUST 2026
An event puts a hundred relevant people in one place and leaves everyone to find each other by luck. Mixer uses the AI a guest already uses, with their permission, to work out who they should meet and why, then tells the organiser whether the room actually connected.
Networking events are optimised for attendance and measured by it, which is why so many of them feel like a success to the organiser and a waste to the guest. The information needed to fix that, who each person is and what they are looking for, exists but is locked in whatever tool that person already uses, and nobody is going to retype it into a conference app.
Mixer's move is to ask for that context instead of recreating it. A guest brings their own assistant, approves what is shared, and gets a handful of specific introductions with a reason attached and an opener. The organiser finally gets a measure of the thing they were actually selling, which is connection, rather than a headcount at the door.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
