fmsg.io

Internet messaging built for machine senders

MelbourneMediaLive product

PITCHED AT THE MELBOURNE NIGHT ON 14 AUGUST 2026

Email and chat were designed for people writing to people, and are now carrying a rising volume of machine-generated traffic they were never shaped for. fmsg.io is a messaging layer built for that world from the start.

Email survived everything thrown at it and is now meeting a volume problem of a different kind. Agents send on people's behalf, systems notify other systems, and the protocols underneath assume a human author and a human reader, which is why the defences against abuse are so blunt and the inbox is so noisy.

fmsg.io starts from the assumption that most senders will not be people. That changes what identity, permission and priority need to mean, and it is a bet that the answer is a new layer rather than another filter on top of the old one. Ambitious, early, and pointed at a problem that is getting worse rather than better.
