Reading disease out of a drop of blood
PITCHED AT THE SAN FRANCISCO NIGHT ON 5 AUGUST 2026
Neurodegenerative disease is usually caught once symptoms are obvious, which is years after the biology changed. Brainalyze uses patented AI-enabled photonics to take a biochemical fingerprint from blood, aiming at detection early enough to act on.
The hard part of early detection is not the algorithm, it is having a signal worth running an algorithm on. Brainalyze's approach is photonic: read the biochemistry of a blood sample directly, and treat the resulting fingerprint as the data asset.
That gives the company two shots at a market. The near one is earlier detection and management of neurodegenerative disease. The longer one is the fingerprint library itself, which is the foundation companion diagnostics and precision medicine are built on.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
