Catching manipulation before the money moves
PITCHED AT THE SAN FRANCISCO NIGHT ON 26 AUGUST 2026
Fraud systems look at the transaction, by which point the victim has already been persuaded. Behavioral AI Lab reads the conversation instead, detecting the psychological pressure a scam applies over days or weeks, so the warning arrives while it can still change the outcome.
A romance or investment scam is not a moment, it is a relationship built over weeks, and the transfer at the end is the only part a bank can see. By then the victim is not being deceived so much as convinced, which is why warnings at the payment screen so often fail: the person has already answered that objection in their head, because the scammer got there first.
Behavioral AI Lab moves the detection upstream, into the conversation, where the pressure is visible as a pattern. That requires knowing what manipulation actually looks like in text, which is why the company is built on a documented corpus of real cases and messages rather than on synthetic examples, and why the behavioural science partners matter as much as the model. It works in English and Japanese, which is unusual and reflects where the harm was studied.
