Cost and carbon, live inside the design model
PITCHING AT THE SYDNEY NIGHT ON 16 OCTOBER 2026
Buildings are designed without live numbers, so cost blowouts and embodied carbon are discovered after the drawings are done. Nezo connects to Revit, Archicad and SketchUp and shows architects, engineers, ESD consultants and quantity surveyors the cost, carbon and weight of every decision as they make it, then generates compliant LCA, NABERS, Green Star and BASIX reports in seconds.
Construction inflation runs above most industries and buildings account for a large share of global carbon, yet the people designing them work without live metrics: the quantity surveyor prices the drawings afterwards, the sustainability consultant assesses carbon afterwards, and by then the decisions are made. The tools that exist for carbon take days of training and sit outside the designer's workflow.
Nezo puts the numbers where the decisions happen. A material schedule is generated from the model, mapped to verified carbon data and cost libraries, and the designer sees cost, carbon, weight and thermal performance change as they test alternatives. The same data produces the compliance reports that used to take weeks. The three founders are quantity surveyors by background, one of them also a developer and carbon assessor, and the company works from Christchurch and Sydney.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
