Astrology as a lens, not a verdict
PITCHED AT THE BOSTON NIGHT ON 12 AUGUST 2026
Astrology apps hand out predictions and stop there, which is entertainment rather than help. Lumora uses the chart as a way of naming the structural challenge someone is actually living through, then connects them to insights, people and workshops that fit it.
The reason people open an astrology app is rarely a belief that the planets decide anything. It is that they are stuck, and the chart is a socially acceptable way to be handed a description of their situation from the outside. The apps then answer with a prediction, which is the one thing that cannot help.
Lumora keeps the lens and drops the verdict, using the reading to name the pattern someone is in and then pointing at people, workshops and material relevant to it. That turns a daily notification into a service with a next step in it, which is a considerably harder product and a considerably more defensible one.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
