AI automation that proves its return first
PITCHED AT THE LONDON NIGHT ON 15 SEPTEMBER 2026
Small and mid-sized businesses have been told to become AI-native, but they have no engineers to build automations, no way to see what the AI is doing and no clear return on the spend. Flero builds and runs their workflows for them, with a person approving each step and every action logged.
Most businesses of ten to a few hundred people are full of repetitive work that AI could take on, from answering enquiries to assembling bids and reports. What stops them is not the models. There is nobody in house to map the processes and build the automations, off-the-shelf assistants cannot be audited, rule-based tools cannot exercise judgement, and nobody can show the finance director what the money bought.
Flero, built by London-based Aice Technology, answers that with a platform and a person. A customer describes a process in plain words, Flero's builder turns it into a working workflow across the tools they already use, and a Flero engineer helps choose what to automate first and keeps it tuned. The first month is a pilot so the hours saved can be measured before a plan is chosen. The company was founded by Peter Williams and Daniel Akenhead.
These founders pitched at the same startup events. The room is usually the reason people find each other.
